With all the craziness surrounding the December 2012 date, you’d think there would be a large body of evidence to support all the uproar. So I embarked on a research project in order to discover the root of all this. I spent more than a few hours and I was astonished to learn that all of this hype about 2012 has only one credible source.

There is an area in Mexico near Palenque where archaeologists uncovered some Mayan hieroglyphs. On the Tortuguero Monument 6, an unusual inscription has been translated into English. The translation below was by an academic researcher and as with all translation, cannot be 100 percent accurate, but it should be close enough. This is how it reads:

The 13th Bak tun will be Finished on four Ajaw,

the 3rd of Uniiw (Kankin) will occur.

It will be the descent of the 9-footed god (or god of 9 steps)

That’s it! That’s what all this December 21 (or I’ve seen 23rd as well), 2012 hype is all about. According to the Mayan inscription, on this date, their god Bolon Yokte Ku returns.

Who or what is Bolon Yokte Ku? Scholars are not entirely sure, but Bolon Yokte Ku has been translated into English as “the god of nine steps” or “the nine-footed god” or “the nine lords of the night.” This god according to Mayan beliefs was the cause of destruction. Could this god be referring to the 9 planets of our solar system? Clearly, from this sole piece of Mayan evidence, there is no reason for people to get upset, and if you believe what the Bible says, there is no cause for alarm for God is with you.

So what does the Bible say? First of all, according to Revelation, Chapter 20, there is a period of 1000 years of peace on earth for believers AFTER a massive destruction upon the earth. This destructive period occurs over a 3.5 or 7-year period known as the 70th week of Daniel. Certain signs occur during this time period as markers to let believers know that they are in the final years of the last age (aeon in the Greek). This is marked by several cataclysmic events, which is succeeded by 1000 years of rebuilding and peace (for believers). In my opinion, not one of the signs that we are in the 70th week have yet occurred. But that does not mean that 2012 couldn’t be the beginning of the 70th week. It could be the beginning of the end of this age, but it will take anywhere from 3.5 to 8.5 years for this to occur. I will be carefully watching what transpires over this next year and will report what I see on this website and on YouTube.
